Manual Handling
1993 saw the introduction of the EEC Directive 90/2692 a new approach
to manual handling.
It made it a duty of the employer to carry out assessments and then reduce the risk of injury to the lowest level, it also placed a duty on the employee to co-operate in the making of assessments and making proper use of equipment, report any defects and participate in training.
This course teaches people how to make on the spot assessment and makes them aware of safe handling of people, parcels and wheel chairs, in fact any load that has to be moved and will help them to find the solution.
